ARCPOH — foundation and mission

The Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health (ARCPOH) was established by The University of Adelaide in 2001 to undertake research and research training in population oral health at a standard that is internationally recognised to be of the highest quality.

Aims

To achieve that end, ARCPOH aims to:

  • continue and extend the research program and associated research training that is currently undertaken in Adelaide and with colleagues elsewhere in Australia and overseas;
  • extend and strengthen collaborative relationships with researchers in Australia and overseas, bringing distinguished and stimulating visitors to Adelaide and generally through ongoing interaction, fostering synergies that will increase the Centre's scholarly output;
  • attract postgraduate research students of the highest potential;
  • increase and diversify the financial support for the Centre's research including necessary infrastructure.
