The Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health (ARCPOH) was established at The University of Adelaide in 2001 to undertake research and research training in population oral health that is internationally recognised to be of the highest quality.
ARCPOH's stakeholders, in addition to the University, include government agencies, dental organisations, and private corporations. The hub of ARCPOH is the School of Dentistry of The University of Adelaide, academic areas of Social and Preventive Dentistry, Oral Epidemiology and Geriatric Dentistry, which in addition to core research and teaching personnel, includes the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare's Dental Statistics Research Unit, Dental Practice Education Research Unit, National Oral Health Promotion Clearinghouse and the Indigenous Oral Health Unit (IOHU).
ARCPOH is Australia's pre-eminent population oral health research body undertaking dental research and providing a broad range of dental and oral health statistics for Australia.
